A NASCAR model race car featuring a unique simulator program will be located in the ASC’14 exhibit hall for all attendees to enjoy! Attendees may take pictures with the car with various poses as they wish. Staff will be at hand to help with the arrangements and in answering questions. Sponsorship levels are determined by the size and location on the NASCAR and are $1,500, $1,000, $750 and $500 per decal. The RACING simulator program featured by the NASCAR will add high-speed excitement. Career Opportunity sponsors help to promote and facilitate the interchange between graduate students, postdocs and more senior members of the workforce who are looking for job opportunities. Companies will sign up on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign-up sheets will be manned at the ASC Student Activities Desk located at the ASC On-Site Registration Desk, with preference given to sponsors. The sponsor’s logo will be placed on the ASC Job Postings and Resume boards, located in the conference registration area, and on signage outside the ASC Interview Room, located in Suite 104 located on the Concourse Level of the Charlotte Convention Center adjacent to the ASC registration area. Sponsor will be given two host tickets to the special Student Mentor Luncheon, to be held on Tuesday, August 12, at the Westin Charlotte Hotel. Sponsor’s name will be on the table sign, and sponsor attendees will serve as mentors, having access to talented graduate students.

In our age of ubiquitous connectivity, wireless internet connectivity at a conference venue is indispensable, particularly at an engineering/scientific meeting such as ASC. Because not all venues have adopted such universal access, sponsorship of this item will enable full access to all ASC’14 participants.
   
Laptop/Internet Café Sponsored by ICAS S.C.r.l
The Laptop/Internet Café plays an important role at the conference as it enables conference attendees to stay in touch with laboratories and colleagues. A dedicated space at the convention center will be arranged for a Laptop/Internet Café that will provide workspace with electrical connections for attendees wishing to use their own laptops during the conference. A limited number of computers will be provided by the conference for attendees not able to travel with their own laptops.  The sponsor’s logo will be displayed on each computer screen. Please call for additional information.

This important sponsorship provides critical support for scientists and students who could not otherwise afford to attend. The funds will be dedicated to offsetting registration fees and travel expenses.

The GSAP provides special structured opportunities for student-led discussions, a networking luncheon session with leading senior scientists and industry leaders on career opportunities, and participation in outings with other student attendees.   2. 10 Up: 10 Years beyond the 50th Anniversary of High Field Superconductivity Sponsored by Oxford Superconducting Technology and Magnet Systems
    A special session was held at ASC 2004 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of high-field superconductivity. 10 years after, we will review our progress and where we might be in another 10 years. The successful commercialization of low-Tc superconductors will be recognized, and from this perspective the technical challenges and commercial impact of alternative superconductors will be explored.
 
CWsWiSE Women in Science & Engineering – Diversity Sponsors include: Centennial Conferences; IEEE CSC and TcSUH
This Workshop is intended for graduate and undergraduate students, early career researchers, established professionals, and others who want to have access to the three ‘keys’ to success: communication, confidence and commitment. ASC 2014 4.2 K Fun Run Sponsored by IEEE CSC
Each sponsor’s logo and the ASC 2014 logo will appear on the Fun Run t-shirts and water bottles. Funds from sponsors will cover the city’s permit, EMT, t-shirts, trophies, and water bottles.
