A special Student Information Desk will be manned near the ASC’14 Conference Registration Desks in Concourse C of the Charlotte Convention Center. Information about student activities will be posted at the desk, and students can sign up for a variety of social activities. The Student Desk hours are as follows:

A special lunch session is planned for student attendees. The lunch session, sponsored by various organizations and companies, will give students the opportunity to meet top experts on U.S. and international projects and commercial applications related to superconducting materials as well as learn more about job opportunities. Lunch will be provided. Space is limited and students need to sign up in advance. The lunch has reached capacity. If you are interested in attending but have not signed up, please visit the Student Desk located in Concourse C of the Charlotte Convention Center to inquire about extra tickets.
Other informal evening activities will include a visit to some of Charlotte’s many microbreweries. These events provide an opportunity for networking, so come and meet others who have interests similar to yours.
ASC’14 is providing a “Career Opportunities: Interview Room” which is located in Suite 104 at the Charlotte Convention Center. This room is available for interviews on Monday, August 10 through Friday, August 15 on a first-come, first served basis. A sign-up sheet will be available at the Student Information Desk. Poster boards for posting resumes and job openings will be located near the Conference Registration Counters.
