Page Limits, Additional Papers & Pages

Authors presenting papers at ASC 2014 are not required to submit a manuscript. Only papers presented at ASC 2014 will be considered for publication of the special issue of the IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity.

Only the Full Conference, Student and Retiree Participant registration fees include one (1) complimentary manuscript submission. All other registration fees do not include a complimentary manuscript submission and an “additional paper fee” of US $440 must be paid in order to receive a unique registration code for submission.

A unique registration code (received after successfully registering for the conference or making the additional paper fee payment) is required for any manuscript submission. The conference participant’s registration code used for submission must be a co-author on the submitted manuscript.

Authors may submit more than one manuscript, however, for any additional papers, authors must pay the additional paper fee of US $440 prior to the manuscript submission deadline. A unique registration code will be provided after payment is received.

The page limit is 4 pages for contributed papers (5 if needed for proper referencing), 6 pages for invited oral and poster papers (7 if needed for proper referencing) and 12 pages for plenary papers. The additional page fee is $110 per page.

Additional page/paper fees must be paid for by Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in order to meet the manuscript submission deadline. If you wish to make payment in advance for an additional manuscript submission or additional pages, you may do so via the online registration site.

Authors should take note that IEEE Publications may re-format graphics to ensure compliance with the IEEE Graphics Guidelines.  In some cases, this could result in the body text extending beyond the allowed page limit.  You may be contacted for payment of an additional page fee if this occurs.  To avoid this potential problem, please ensure that your graphics comply with the IEEE Graphics Standards and are sized appropriately, as indicated in the manuscript template.

Otherwise, additional paper and page payments must be made onsite, in the Publication Office at the Charlotte Convention Center. Please complete the Additional Paper/Page Payment Form and hand it to the staff in the Publication Office.
