Description
The Award, which may be presented during the Applied Superconductivity Conference or an alternative applied superconductivity conference associated with the IEEE Council on Superconductivity, recognizes individuals for contributions in the field of applied superconductivity over a period of time (nominally more than twenty years) based on novel and innovative concepts proposed by the individual, the authorship or co-authorship of a number of publications of major significance to the field of applied superconductivity and the presentation of a number of invited and plenary talks at major national and international conferences and meetings in applied superconductivity.

Prize
The recipient of this Award will receive a plaque, an inscribed niobium medallion and a cash award of U.S. $5,000.
